Not So Baby Boy And A Ball Cake

Happy Belated Birthday SJ!

Last month Stephen John turned one!  I feel like this is a big celebration for both baby and mom, so I can't help mentioning it even though it has been a bit.

We love this guy!  His personality is really starting to come out and it is so fun! He is kind of silly and very happy.  Although, he is beginning to push Dallin's buttons a bit.  Payback time! Or self defense possibly.  He is also so much more independent and not so much like my little baby anymore, *sigh* (of sadness, and happiness).

Stephen John loves playing with balls, so I made him a ball cake for his birthday.  I put some of his other balls (washed of course) around it to make it more obvious what it was.  At first, I think the texture of the cake deterred him a bit, but not for long!  He dug in and ate a ton!  He didn't get very messy, but that's because he was actually eating it.

Then he opened presents of course.

My parents surprised me and the boys with a visit for SJ's birthday.  Dan was privy to the surprise visit.  It made the day more special having them here.  Wichita isn't exactly a destination spot, so we are always so happy when people come to visit.

That day Stephen John decided to take some steps too.  After about two weeks, he was walking everywhere.  He loves walking, and even running away from mom sometimes too!

Here are some pictures of Stephen John from the last year.

This kid loves to eat!
He has now graduated from the
baby cone (above) to a child's cone.
The other night, he ate a whole manacotti!

Stephen John loves watching the neighbors' dogs!

These two LOVE wrestling on the bed!
Stephen John also loves being in a diaper.
He would be happy to never wear clothes.
Ball!

Merry Christmas

Another ball!

"Look what I can do Mom!"
